Quite, we had a situation like this when we were just starting out where a
client ummed and ahed for ages ... it went on and on and on and on ... they
took seven months to pay 50% of the development costs only and decided the
site wasn't what was required. Then recently we got a call saying could they
have the pages as they were READY to use them now!
The moral of the story is get everything in writing - reserve the right to
hold on to the work until it's at least 50% paid for and be a bit choosy
about your clients. A year later we have 100% really appreciative clients
who I would trust with my granny
