Re: FN-FORUM Burning CDs on PC for use on a Mac

I've also got Nero on my PC and I agree with you about the obscurity of the
instructions. It's like reading the rulebook for a Masonic society - unless
you know the secret handshakes you're buggered!
Anyhow, persevere and everything should work well. I eventually figured out
how to burn backup CDs at 8 speed, which means that I can get full backups
done in about 5 minutes - v cool... if only I'd remember to do it more
often.
I started off by creating an image first and then burning, but since
figuring out how it works better (you have to increase the size of your
cache - I increased mine to 48MB in a PC with 128MB of RAM), I don't have to
make a disk image anymore and just drag the folders and files over and hit
burn.
I'm running win2k and had to upgrade my copy of Nero to version
5.3.something as the version that came with the CD burner wouldn't install
on win2k.
The only problem I have now is getting the CDs out of the *!#"! plastic
wrappers.
Hope that helps!
