Hi Paul

ASP is a server side technology, it works with databases (generally using
something called ADO), but it also does a lot more (for instance file
handling, image processing, emailing, ftp'ing etc etc).

I've got the files for doing what you're after at home (I sent someone on
another mailing list some as examples on how to do a very similar thing), so
I'll post them tommorrow morning with some explanations.
