I think the solution to your problems might be to specify your font
sizes in the style sheets in pixels rather than points (substitute px
for pt). Because Macs work on a standard of 72 pixels per inch screen
resolution and windows on 96 pixels per inch, point sizes get
interpreted differently between the platforms. Mac IE 5 seems to work
to the same standard as PCs on font sizes whereas Netscape sticks to
the original standard (as did IE 4)
Bit of a minefield, but as far as I can see the use of px to specify
font sizes is the safest.
