Re: FN-FORUM Why do we put up with bad agencies ?
date posted 23rd May 2001 17:38
I just thought I'd put my two pennies worth in.
I am working through an agency at the moment who have placed me at the
MoD/BT in Swindon providing Oracle/ASP/NT programming.
I've been there since the beginning of January, and the contract ends at the
end of June.
As I live on the Isle of Wight, I have to travel and stay up there during
the week - but a couple of weeks ago, my fiancee had an epileptic seizure
(first one in 7 years) - which meant I was required at home immediately.
I have been home since, trying to get things back to normality.
Imagine my surprise, when the Agency rang me and said that although they
understand my situation, it's not really their problem and unless I went
back to Swindon immediately - the MOD/BT were going to Sue me for breach of
contract, and the agency would also in turn!!
They're all just bas***ds (well most of them)
