That's strange, as most, if not all, cut and pasting activity is handled
using the clipboard in Windows. Photoshop certainly works in this way.
Consequently the procedure should have been:
1. Press "PrtScn" or Alt-PrtScn if you prefer.
2. Within Photoshop select "File" then "New" to create a new image.
3. Select "Edit" then "Paste" or CTRL-V to copy the contents of the windoze
clipboard into your new image.
That's it.
With some image editors, e.g. Paint Shop Pro, you can simply do a "Paste as
new image" which merges steps 2 and 3. Paint Shop Pro also has a quite cool
screen grab option that makes SnagIt redundant... Shame I only have
Photoshop now...
