RE: FN-FORUM MySQL database backup
date posted 8th July 2001 22:21
Not sure about from a unix server (probably the same though), I can FTP my
folders (including all data structures to and from my server (on windows my
path is ./mysql/data)
I will be interested in other peoples response to this because I am just
working on a project which will require synchronisation between local
machine and internet servers.

Subject: FN-FORUM MySQL database backup
Real dumb MySQL question.
Would it be possible to download a local copy of MySQL database.
I am thinking of changing hosts and do not want to loose the info already on
MySQL databases.
I have already installed phpMyAdmin, but am not very familiar with it.
Also, how will I get the info already in these databases onto databases
created by the new hosting company?
Reading the documentation that comes with this application will take years
and I am not really sure what to look for.
Any pointers please.
Cheers
Willie
