Hi Marc

AFAIK all of the major IRC networks offer free channel registration. It
tends to be that you need a certain number of people in the channel in order
to get the services of a IRC Op Bot. However you can circumvent this by
simply running a bot of your own to manage the channel. I've got an eggdrop
running on a linux box which has been up ever since I moved it into a spare
cupboard (about a month I think).
