IAN,
I've been enjoying the platform WAR on the FORUM always good for a giggle...
my thoughts are that both are crap, bad for your health and facilitate a
demise in general stature... i.e.
1992 - "Oh you're a graphic designer... fascinating!"
2001 - "Oh so you work on computers then...yawn"
Anyways i guess the reason that most designers chose MACS is that they
embraced the design industry early on with Quark Xpress etc. and quality
font/image management and post-script support.
PCs had Pagemaker and Ventura and renamed non postscript fonts! (ooh and
clipart too!)
After waiting what seemed an eternity for Quark to come out on PC I swapped
over from the darkside. Apart from having to rely on MS Explorer I try to
divorce myself from the evil one and any of his products... using a MAC
means that generally i live in a Darth Gates free zone!!
