Virtual Internet - Don't go there.
date posted 13th July 2001 15:08
Hi,
I'm the process of contacting Hammersmith and Fulhan Council Trading
Standards officers regarding Virtual Internet.
Essentially, I'm complaining about two issues:
1. My server has been unreachable for more than 60 hours in total over the
past six months. They claimed to guarantee 99.8% uptime, but have not
forwarded the details of any compensation package.
2. The server I was sold - a Cobalt RAQ4 - carries limitations that were
not explained at any point during the sales process. Consequently the
server sold was not fit for its purpose.
I'd be grateful if you could let me know off-list if you too have had
similar issues with this company. I would also be grateful for any
recommendations regarding dedicated Red Hat Linux hosting.
Many thanks,
--
