Hi Paul,
We're redoing the demos to make them smaller, so I'm hoping the download
time won't be so much of an issue.
There's no bloody way I'm doing that lot in Flash, I'd be here until next
year!...

Good point about Linux, I wasn't aware it can't run IE5. Saying that though
I would guess that most users of Linux are Developers of one sort or another

Well, after my dismal email of earlier, I've got the final public Beta of
IE6 and it is good! Very, very quick at parsing the pages (compared with
IE5.5 anyway) and that media bar & enable smart tags...

depends what language your using server side, i only use asp and coldfusion
and for them to retrieve it is:
ASP: url=Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_REFERER")
CF: url=CGI.HTTP_REFERER
what it is for...

yup - try this:
formname.formfield.value=self.location;
should do the trick - although imo a better way is to get the referral url
server side via the HTTP_REFERER CGI variable.

Does anybody know how to copy a URL from the browser's 'Address' line into a
form field ?
I would like to build a page that submits the page the user is viewing's URL

of course part of the problem here is that many of the 'other' browsers can
fake their ID, often from a user-selected range of options, thus skewing the
platform/browser/version info.

Um, I created an account fine. Went to edit blurb, edited it OK. Clicked on
Preview Changes - got 'Cannot find Server or DNS error'. the page it was
