RE: FN-FORUM Computer hacked

Joining this Zone Alarm topic a bit late, but most of the individual alarms
that you do get are harmless. They are from people who are using little
software packages like Ativa DUN meter which 'pings' peoples computer to try
and keep the connection alive and connected for as long as possible. I am
quite happy to be corrected but the ones in which you would wish to take
concern over are the ones trying to access your NET BIOS and system files.
Further, ones with repeat (occurred: 34 times) messages in a short space of
time are also ones to be careful of. I have put a great deal of faith in
Zone Alarm and have left my computer on for whole weekends whilst it was
batch processing and when I came I would have 100s of different alarms that
have been triggered. I wasn't concerned however as the firewall had
protected me from all of these.
A good question is what is there that is going on out there that talks to
your computer whilst on the net that Zone Alarm does not pick up?.......
