RE: FN-FORUM handheld computers

hi
the new communicator runs the Symbian platform, whereas the old one didn't.
To find out about the OS, see www.symbiandevnet.com
Personally, I have a Psion revo, ipaq and palm 3 series, all for wireless
development, and ALL support web browsing. Of the keyboard ones, the Symbian
based Communicator is streets ahead, and of the palm-form-factor ones id
recommend the ipaq. Its not that theres anything wrong with palms, just that
the ipaq does everything they do and so much better (and you can play
solitaire on it, use it as an mp3 player, etc, and with a fantastic screen)

Does anybody know if this will support SSH or Telnet? It would be the
perfect remote-admin tool for web servers if it did.
I have checked their web site, but it tells you next to nothing
about it technically..
sorry if this is answered later in the list but just got back from London
and am catching up.
the previous Nokia communicator does handle telnet but not ssh (so im
informed by a guy across the office)
any way cheers for the advice on the under ground for what is worth I ended
up getting the bakerloo line to oxford circus and walking up oxford street.
so cheers who ever recommended that one.
Next question is it normal for people to try to mug you for your shoes?
round here (Bristol) people go for cash, credit cards, wallets, that sort
of thing only last night I got hassle from some guy who wanted my shoes. I
figure it cant be normal but wanted to check. (BTW I legged so he didn't
get em)
apart from that had no trouble.
