well imo the best way to fight that is what im starting to do - mainly form
a network where i outsource my design, hosting and sales to other companies
with the intention of it spreading initially country-wide via contacts,
including this forum, *if* my agent gets the sales in.
this is different from collabarating as instead of occasional contracts
shared between freelancers you get a loose collective constantly passing
work between each other. in this way you'd get a co-operative substantially
larger in area and potential than any individual company could successfully
cover unless they were microsoft-sized!
a dream? maybe, we'll see! :)
