Hi Emma
Yes it's quite easy to change a messenger sounds they are listed in the
Windows control panel/sounds (if you are using a PC?) so any or all the
sounds can be customised. I downloaded the "Hello Master" along with a few
other voice message sounds from a Free sounds site, though I can't remember
the URL off hand. If you don't already have the same collection I could Zip
them and upload a file to some web space for you to download if you like.
(if I can't find the original URL)

Of course if you have some kind of text to speech app it's possible to
record all sorts of weird and wonderful messages even if they can sound a
little robotic. Though some of my favourite spoken messages are the Hal ones
such as "I have heard that you and Frank were planning to shut me down. I'm
afraid that is something I cannot allow to happen" which given the
occasional problems Windows 98 has in shutting down can seem strangely
realistic as the shutdown WAV. BTW I find the full 20th Century Fox Fanfare
is a nice start wav, very dramatic :)
