date posted 1st August 2001 21:03
There was a review of all these services not so long ago, either in computer
shopper, .net or internet. I still have the mag and I can look it up if
anyone is interested.

Subject: FN-FORUM satellite ISP's?
as it looks like I may never get broadband at home (although we are
expecting running water any time now ;-), im seriously considering one of
these three has any one used them /heard good/bad stuff ?
the basic theory is £15 per month gets you 400KB down stream up stream is
via your normal isp (so if you use a surf time package that's still only 30
squids a month or so...
sounds interesting but don't want to get stung

currently not taking registrations (but at least they aren't just signing
you up and taking your money for [EMAIL REMOVED] service)

no good for me as it turns out, but may suit some off you so I left the link
in...
