The answer to your questions is almost 'how long is a piece of string' -
each of us on here would probably give you a different answer - it all
depends who your target market is - we principally develop intranet
solutions for fairly large companies so tend to quote on a per solution
basis whereas others here cater more for the small business market and
so probably quote on a per page basis. We calculate how long it will
take to produce a site based on experience and then apply a daily rate
of £350 - £450 per day to that time - this then gives us a price to
quote - but as I say we quote an all in price, anywhere from £2,000 -
£50,000 for a site depending upon the complexity involved.
Hope this helps - no doubt others will give you suggestions -
Which may be rude if you don't turn off your HTML e-mails ;-)

Subject: FN-FORUM web site price guide...
Hi all...
I'm wanting to go freelance in web design and i'm wondering what other
people are charging... and how? Anyone wanna tell me???
* Do you charge per hour spent making the site? If so how much?
* Or per page? If per page whats included in the price of that page?
(ie: graphics, how many. Text, any limits?)
* Or is it a quote for the entire site? Again how do you judge a site to
make a quote for it????
Any help appreciated folks... Cheers!
Ronnie
