CD Rom CGI

Hello there folks,

I need to find some kind of 3rd party software or script or method
which will let me run a data driven site (any format of data) from a cd
rom. I've been looking at hand coding XML > XSLT > XHTML but am trying
to find a cheap and dirty way to keep the costs down. (New client don't
want to scare them off).

The user should be able to browse products and add them to a shopping
cart then print out an order form. This should also be able to be run
from a server so work

Even better would be something that worked in NS and Opera as well as IE
and also on MAC and SGI IRIX, linux boxes - I know this would be a long
shot.

Any ideas?
