Hi Andrew,
You can certainly use Flash and either a plain text file or Flash and asp
and a database. Only problem as I can see it is with the asp etc is how that
would be installed!
I have just spent the holidays trying (and hopefully succeeding ) in
learning how to do just this!!

Using Flash or Director may be an option - however I've never used
either with data (I need this done yesterday). I was thinking more
javascript and XML etc..
