RE: FN-FORUM Domain Names
date posted 3rd January 2002 15:43
Go to www.register.com and run a search on the domain name and extension
from there. When the results are displayed, you will see that it has already
been registered, from there you can click to finsout exactly when it was
registered or re-registered and by whom.
Also, if the domain name ownership has been transfered then it might be hard
to actually transfer the domian name without them knowing (Im guessing
here). If indeed, they have decevied your client by hosting his domain name
and then taking it then he might have a reason to go down the legal route.
Hope this helps..

Subject: FN-FORUM Domain Names
A client has asked me to check who owns his domain name! He thinks it
belongs to the "cowboys" currently hosting his site. So how do I check who
owns the site? and how can I transfer it without their help?
