Re: FN-FORUM High speed, reliable Internet connection

date posted 7th January 2002 12:51

Hi Ruth,

I've come round to thinking you need more than one service.

I've currently got a conventional BT telephone lines plus two telewest
cable lines.

My telewest lines give me free surfing for an extra £10 a month (on both
lines at the same time, very useful with two teenage sons). Unfortunately,
the connection service is very poor, almost as bad as my demon ISP which I
access through the BT line.

I also have unlimited calls (local and national - but not geographical
numbers, cell phones or international) for a fixed fee of £25 a month.

I'm now going to install an ADSL line.

It may seem excessive, but, I discovered a long time ago that if you want
to be professional you have to give cost a low priority.
