FW: Your network problems
date posted 14th January 2002 14:39
This "accidentally misrouted" spam (below sig) is actually quite convincing.
Is there a law against it?
The Internet headers give the game away, however. I wonder why he didn't
bother to fix that too?

The big question: Is he actually trying to market genuine services, or just
get gullible fools to install his remote control software?

Subject: Fwd: Your network problems
A belated happy new year!
Jenny contacted me in regards to the problems that you are having with your
server,
network etc. As you know, last year was a nightmare in regards to our I.T
and
Jameson was none to happy! Anyway, a golf friend recommended a freelance
consultant
based in West London so I gave him a call. We're now on ADSL and our monthly
connection charges have been reduced by £200. This is the first time we have
had a quality net connection in the office as opposed to all the trouble
with
the ISDN installed by network comms.
What this guy has done for the office is beyond anything that we could have
hoped
for. As an example, everyone now has a desktop icon which when clicked
connects
up to his server and he can remotely control our computers and sort out any
problems
that pop up. The server has been rebuilt and we now have 360GB of space,
while
running rock solid.
What took several days to fix with network comms, is taken care of in 5
minutes!
Truly the dogs gonads!!!!
