I assume the Driver=MySQL is the name of the driver on your PC.
So this then connects to the UNIX box version of MySQL.
It is possible to set the permission of the client on MySQl on Unix (I don't
recall the Windoze version having this.)
It may be that thepermissions of the clients connecting to the db are
currently restricted to the localhost.
Give it a go.

But if your mysql server is on a Linux box, and your using asp (so I
guess its an NT server), then you probly arent lookig for
server=locahost
