RE: FN-FORUM Writing for multiple browsers

date posted 20th January 2002 18:29

Oops... sorry, realised that it does, my fault.

OK, here's the current probs I have (I've put the page up on
http://www.steves.dynamic-site.net/blues for the time being so you can see)

1. Up and Down arrows on left frame:

NN6.1: Displayed in correct position
IE6 & NN4.7: Arrows show up 10px too low, but scrolling works from correct
position

2. "Select Text" error:

NN6.1 - if you drag-select-downwards the text on the left or right frame,
the contents of the frame will shoot upwards and blank the screen
IE6 - shifts frame up a little bit
NN4.7 - no probs

3. Text displayed in incorrect size in NN4.7, but fine in IE6 and NN6. NN4.7
also displays the right-side scroll bar in the wrong place.

Also, if you know, what's the main difference between Netscape 6.1 and
Navigator 4.7? Which is the most popular out of the two (ie. which one
should one use for testing on?

Thanks once again,

steve
