Aha, What mail server, this DOES make a difference.
But I'd probably go for (as a minimum) 512 RAM, PIII or whatever (speed
won't really matter that much, 2 slow gives better perf than 1 fast very
often), as much SCSI disk as they can afford, proper server NIC, a DAT drive
(DLT if they can afford it) and if the data is critical and access to it is
important, hardware RAID or some sort. But it's very difficult to sell RAID
to small offices until their disk fails. If they are cheap skates, I suppose
you could go with EIDE disks, but they're not nearly as robust. just make
sure it's built to be a server, not just a big PC.
