I remember the MM and Evert True reviews and interviews.
Seem to remember, now you mention it, his speaking of the
wheelchair thingy. I always thought it was the bassist. As they
came on stage I was about 200yds away, but started straight
away to move down the front.

That was my first and last Reading doesn't compare to Glastonbury not in
the
same league by a long shot. I had my first Glastonbury that year to.
Never missed one since. Although it's getting so popular now I may give
it a miss this year. It's still crazy busy at three, four, five, six in the
morning, your
still walking around pretty much shoulder to shoulder, the crowds are
ridiculous.
The weathers been rough for the last few years to. Big, big security this
year
apparently as well. Anyway we'll see.
The highlight of which had to
be Bare Naked Ladies in the folk tent. I'd heard of them already and
To many highlights to go through here but I'll mention one v. surprissing
one.
Back in 99, I think, I'd gone down there with my sister and she wanted to
see Rolf Harris in the jazz tent. As it was the middle of the day and there
were
no other decent bands on we trekked down there. The tent only held about
800
people and it was packed. We struggled through to the middle and sat down.
The
minute the lights came up everyone jumped to there feet and started
chanting Rolf, Rolf, Rolf the tent became charged with emotion and when he
came on
stage he got such a cheer. When he started going through his set everbody
in the
place new all the words and sang along to every single song. There was so
much love
in the air for this guy it was truly amazing I almost cried honestly. A
fantastic gig that
kind of left me shell shocked. I'd never of thought it of old Rolf.
He did it again the year after apparently but I missed that one
k, quick u turn on memory lane and jog back over to daily grind.
