Well I'd say rule of thumb is absolutely never trust layers for normal
layout or structure, it wont matter how hard you try but css just won't do
what it's supposed to on different browsers...

Ouch.. you may have a bunch of corrupt fonts on your disk. OS 9 had issues
with font corruption. Better check your system as there was updates for it.

1. Loading: The text says click when the bar below has finished but the bar

I think it's .org.uk.
It's very easy to join, you need to fufil at least one requirement, ie have
