Re: FN-FORUM [OT] Etiquette

Neither are necessary ever, and as that yank (dotcomguy was it?) proved, you
don't ever have to leave the house.
People have been talking about blocking/filtering HTML and attachments and
if that's possible then can't it be done specifically for the digest thus
not screwing it up. I'm sure everyone has HTML able mail readers available
as they have the ability to receive attachments. Not using them is like not
using the radio on your car because is wastes fuel. The word in point here
being 'wastes' - it uses fuel is doesn't waste it if you want to listen to
the radio.
I don't send HTML email myself because I know most people object to it, but
find it very strange when people emphasise words in an old BBS style when we
all have the ability to use rich text and show things in italics. I know
that people say that it's a bandwidth issue but what bandwidth do we need to
make it not such an issue?
When virus laden attachments have been sent, my anti-virus software has
picked it up and removed it up to now and I trust it to continue.
Dave
P.S. I snipped everything from the bottom of the email so if you don't know
what I'm talking about you have to consult the other emails with the same
subject. This is so that the digest readers don't get too many repeats.
