Setting Up

I have just finished university and would really like to set myself us as a
freelance designer, however there are 2 (Big) problems with this:

1. I need more training on general I.T. knowledge and packages such as Flash
etc (preferably free where possible)

2. I havent got a clue where to start

If any one has any stories on how they started up and what i need to do etc
i would be v v v v v v glad of the help.
