I can understand that alot of professional designers shy away or aren't
interested in taking on adult contracts. I did music for "adult" films
as a favour for a good friend when I was at uni early 1990s (how he
ended up in the "film" industry is another story), and it was great fun
- in the nicest way. I would have had difficulty giving out these films
as references in a portfolio though, it's not something I would admit to
with a client unless I knew them very well. When the internet took off
with adult-sites leading the way my friend got into that and vanished
from my life completely, in fact I haven't heard from him since 1996...
One thing that I am curious about though is how you get the contacts for
designing adult-related stuff in the first place? How do you advertise,
or do you?

I'll attest to that as well. The worst thing I ever had to do in that
respect was use stock images for a graphic design company(!), partly
because they had only just formed, but mainly because they were rubbish,
they didn't last very long funnily enough (8 months I believe)... I've
been lucky recently in having access to alot of my clients archive
materials - this isn't just for websites, in fact it's mainly non-web -
this gives you a massive library of material on which to base your own
creations.

Unfortunately, people will try and get as much as they can for as little
as they can.... Count yourself lucky that you aren't working for
royalties in the music biz, had a six-monthly cheque in April, which
after deductions netted me a whole 50p..........
