This might not give you an accurate test platform, as you'd have to use
FAT32 on the system partition, whereas native XP systems are more likely to
have NTFS. Have you considered buying those hard drives in caddies and
swapping your OS like that? I know it means rebooting, but it means you can
have a set of test platforms that aren't compromised by sharing with another
OS.
