one of my artist friends always uses perspective/guide lines in either a
colour unused in the main drawing or as feint as possible (i.e. light
grey). In the former she just uses the magic wand in Photoshop to select
all of that colour and then just deletes them, in the latter method she
uses a "levels" or "threshold" layer above to remove the feint lines.
Obviously you need to get a decent scan as well (she scans at 600dpi or
1200)
