RE: FN-FORUM business card
date posted 29th June 2002 09:27
Hi Ade,
Thanks for the comments, I had tried a few portrait designs and I do quite
like them. I have thought long and hard about using the "ARKAD" logo or a
redesign of it on the cards, but I do trade in my own name rather than
"ARKAD it Solutions" so I think it would be safer not to put it on the
cards.
As for the CD cards, I didn't think they would work.

hi Darren
have you tried a portrait layout as opposed to landscape? After a quick
flick through all the cards in my wallet all the ones I like are in
portrait....just a thought. I'll knock a quick one up in Photoshop for
you to demonstrate my point, if you want...one last thought, why aren't
you using the name of your organisation "Arkad IT solutions"? If you had
a logo or something similar it could be the focal point of the card.
I found this link in my URL archive, it's pretty obvious info but it was
useful for me when I redid my cards...

there's also this -
http://www.fengshuibusinesscard.com/freetemplates.php
(made me laugh anyway)
I used to use those 60mb CD business cards but didn't have a great deal
of success with them. Don't know if that is the general consensus, a
nice idea but more interesting to oneself than the client...?
anyway
hth
ade.
