Correctly installed and configured, GNU/Linux is very easy to use. Nothing
requires you to use emulators etc, but if you insist on a particular piece
of proprietary software, don't be surprised if there's little we can do to
make it directly available.
Damn, sorry to prove you wrong. The challenge to us is to make the
installation and configuration easier. Then you can get on and use the
computer productively instead of fighting with Windows Update, the Device
Manager, Microsoft Licensing, etc.
Computer as a tool, not something to be admired on its own. Indeed. That's
what I want. GNU/Linux is the closest to give that. It requires very
little attention to keep it running.
