originality was ms takes control

kathy mentioned about plagarism, well everybody plagarizes in some form or
other.

scott adams made a point of it in the joy of work, and any attempt at
originality is generally derided - the turner prize has become a joke
because it doesnt seem to award for the best art anymore but the closest
someone gets to an original piece. tracey emins notorious bed is a case in
point.

basically people dont like originality, they view something new with a very
wary eye. the last totally original thought probably happened shortly after
some early genius decided grunts werent the best way to inform the rest of
the tribe that something large, hairy and with an impressive set of sharp
teeth was descending upon the village.
