That didn't work, the uninstaller had also wiped/changed the USB settings in the Bios!! What did work was sticking in the Windows disk and rebooting after resetting the Bios. What a palaver Thanks eve...

Thanks Paul....I only lost about a weeks work on the site... luckily the database etc is still there.... I must remember to do daily backups and use visual SourceSafe... Regards Darren Spink TEL...
