Re: FN-FORUM smtp server

What do u need to do with it, and what OS did u plan to run it on?
I know of no decent open source or free smtp servers for windows, but a
number exist for Linux and Unix.
Sendmail is the big daddy of them all, but can be a swine to configure
securely. The O'Reilly book alone if >800 pages long and is quite a read.
Generally I either use Postfix or QMail both of which do pretty much all I
need and are much easier to configure and secure.
If you go for a Mandrake installation, Postfix can be selected and
configured easily.
Webmin is a useful tool if you want to set up and run a server and is
probably worth looking into as well.
Hope that helps some,
Mark
