I just spent another couple of hours testing various suggestions from
Usenet. I would tell the client they just have to pay for some software,
except none of them explicitly state they will do exactly what is needed
here, nor guarantee success!

Can anyone confirm a utility that definitely works with Excel 5 VBA
password protection for any password format?

Any chance of sending a copy of your software to try dec?
