flash mx does not really address SEO as far as i am aware. A html frontpage
would help obviously, and you could also link from it to dummy pages for all
of the flash 'pages'. On each of the dummy pages put a small (empty) flash
movie that calls the main flash file and goes to the correct section. On
each of the dummy pages also put the real text content so that the search
engine has something to index.

Flash files are readable and there is a Flash SDK for search engines, should
any search engines decide to build that functionality into their bots. Some
day soon maybe, Macromedia are meant to be actively working with some search
engines on this.

I haven't used Flash MX much yet. Does anyone know if it has any new
features to help with a Flash site being found and placed in SE results.

The client wants to keep the site as Flash and not HTML but said would be
happy to add an HTML front page to aid SEO. Would this make much difference?

What advantages/disadvantages does anyone feel adding an HTML front page to
a Flash site would have in such a case. i.e. to aid SEO, the look and feel
etc.
