Thanks Matt,
Dave McEwen mentioned the font too. I've now changed it to the following
family:
Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif. Hopefully that will improve the
readibility for now, but I'll have to research what other wide-spread
sans-serif fonts are in use on people's meachines.
I'll have a go at touching up the feathered edge on the face (who is my
lovely wife BTW).

Works fine IE6/XP 56k.
Couple of comments...
The transparency on the face is a bit rough on the right hand side where
it overlaps the menu items. Like the face though - cool :D
The font (Eras Light ITC), while it makes the site stand out from the
usual verdana and arial offerings (on the net, not this forum :D) I
found it quite difficult to read (at 1024x768).

OK.. time to take the plunge. Can I have a site check of

I'm having problems with Opera compatibility and can't get the menu bars
to pop-out when clicked.. seems to work in all other recent browsers.
Please bare in mind that I'm a coder not a designer!! All criticism
welcomed... as long as it's constructive ;o) BTW, it is an ongoing
project... still some 'tarting-up' to do via some extra CSS.
