Works fine in Moz and I think Opera, and I have the js hack to make it
happen in IE mac/pc from v5.5 so that is ahuge part of your target audience.
Using the @import/basic css trick, you could supply a gif or disply:hidden
option for NN4. The script is available at

Oh, font color, background color etc.. so many people forget. I'm not sure
if it validates now, but as we move towards xml it is a good habit to get
into. I know a fair few of us set defaults to something awful to bring these
things to our attention...

Much discussion about this on the css list - I personally like to set px
sizes for fonts to suit my designs, but there are accessability issues. You
can offer an alternative style sheet for the hard of seeing via a simple
click - mail me tomorrow if you need to know how.

Always worth starting at 800x600 as that is still the most common default -
even though I (and plenty others I know) have screen res of 1024 or higher,
we still browse/design at 800x600 - using fluid design in css you can easily
manage different sizes while maintaining design integrity.

Lokk at alistapart.com for how to deal with this - again, I'm willing to
give pointers off list if you need.

Dave, I always try to help, hangovers and bad moods permitting...
Cheers, Paul.
