If you don't specify a background colour, you really need transparent
backgrounds on graphics as it looks awful when the images are surrounded by
big white blocks. So if I see big white (or any other colour)blocks, I
assume that the designer meant to specify a background colour. Shouldn't
specify a foreground without a background (and body text colour is specified
here) in case the visitor is using your foreground as a background (etc)
