Robin,
30 seconds in cool edit -
http://home.freeuk.com/adej/quack/DirtyDuck.zip
i just time-stretched it and drew a pitch-bend curve around the waveform...
not got the time to do it now but the full procedure would be to -
1. time-stretch (slow down) each word by a rate just enough to make it
break up slightly
2. pitch-shift each word up by equivalent rate to above
3.(optional) if you want to dirty it up use a wah phasing effect
triggered by a frequency threshold...
this keeps the rhythm the same but gives the squeaky voice effect with a
slight rasp.
particular inflections (proper rasps, splutters or sighs) of the voice
have to come from the source itself. you aren't going to get a great
effect just by using someone talking normally and applying the effects...
the best way is to use an FX-unit and speak into it using a mic to
adjust the effect in real-time to get what you want, otherwise you spend
ages applying effects in an audio editor that are never quite right...
you can download the shareware cool-edit (2000) which i believe has the
effects you need from http://www.syntrillium.com/
just so you don't get charged £500 for something you can do in a few
minutes... ;-)
