RE: FN-FORUM OT Monitor burn

Okay, people seem to think that I find the softmick name personally
offensive. I don't. I was just trying to point out that it could be read
that way by some people, and in that case wouldn't come across as
professional.
I can't say 'it's not offensive', I'm not Irish. It's like gollywogs. They
don't bother me, but then I'm not black. I know being 'PC' is HIGLY
unfashionable and that 'PC' has become a term to mean 'ridiculously
oversensitive', but I'm all for being sensitive to what could potentially
offend other people (and paying clients!).
The whole baa baa black/white sheep thing that someone said their daughter
was taught I have to say I find pretty damn weird though. Especially as
'black' is both a word for a colour (okay lots of poeple also say it's not a
colour but let's not get into THAT whole thing), and is not used as a
derogatory term unless used with an adjective (on the whole).
