table height in NN6

I'm working on an html template for a site re-design:

- it's just a single page at the moment.


I'm trying to get the centered table and its nested table background colors
to fill the full height of the browser window using height = "100%". This
solution works on Mac IE4.5/5 AND NN4/4.7, but in NN6 the table height will
only stretch as far as the images enclosed.

Does anyone know where I might be doing wrong?
