If I were you I'd have a look at Ignite.
http://www.ignite-it.co.uk/ignite/split_image.htm
it will open psd files and allow you to do all your slicing (easily) and
then save all the bits with one click.
It's also pretty nifty at image optimising too!
(you can use it as a plug-in for photoshop)
