netscape issues...

date posted 27th September 2002 17:09

hello,

can you check out www.tomrhodes.me.uk please. I am aware of issues in
setting variables in flash from javascript and netscape, however apparently
the flash player 6,0,47,0 fixes this. AFAIK i have this player for netscape
7 and it still doesn't work.

the problem i have is this, when a window is launched from the player,
javascript in the child window calls a function in the parent to tell the
main movie to stop playing the streamed audio if a child window has it's own
audio to play, then javascript periodically checks to see if any child
windows exist, if they don;t then it resumes the stream. this all works
lovely jubbly in IE but falls flat on its arse in netscape. even though i
have the meta tags set to insist on the main movie being viewed with
6,0,47,0 and me being damn sure thats the player version i'm using.

er....

what gives?

tom.

Hi

I've been working on my site template and would appreciate your comments ( I
think :-) )
http://medialogik.co.uk/zindex.htm

Is there anyway I can get rid of the underlines on the links using a style
or am I stuck with this ?

also an aside. I tried doing a another template page just using CSS. I found
the positioning was working differenly in Netscape 6, Mozilla, and IE 6.
About 4/5 pixels out. Is there a way around this or do I have to have sep
stylesheets for each browser ?

Thanks

Mike
