- Update -
Tape Drive working fine now. It hadn't been found because a dip switch was
in the wrong position - I don't think it could have ever worked like it was.
Succesfully backed up and restored files from a local hard drive.
Thanks for all advice, it pointed me in the right direction.
Guess what - the hard drive on the machine with the tape drive isn't large
enough to store all files that he wants to back up. He is a tight git who
won't spend loads of money on a V.Large SCSI hard drive so he wants to know
if I can use the tape drive to backup files over the network from another
machine...
I'm guessing yes, but I have yet to work out how to network browse from
Linux. If I crack that I can probably get it working, I Think.
Any more hints gratefully received.
