If it has Win98 on it, you probably need a real operating system, or the
Win98 shutdown fix. Do a Google search for it. Or you have Easy CD 5 /and or
Direct CD on XP, maybe? Or some other duff driver (perhaps for the new
card - I've heard of this on a MAC) or a hardware/power management problem.

Hi all,

Has anyone ever had a problem with their PC rebooting after shutdown instead
of just shutting down?

My PC seems to have developed this problem and it seems to be related to my
Firewire card as it only happens when this card in installed.

I changed PCs over the last few days, and this card didn't cause this
problem in my other PC.

I've searched everywhere for answers - any ideas on here?
