RE: FN-FORUM Shot in the dark question .......

Thanks to all who answered .... Joe was bang on the nail as it happens -
and one of the reasons I couldn't find anything previously was the fact
that it's French, and Boom is spelt Boum!! And I do now remember of
course that Mme Edith did indeed slaughter it regularly on 'allo 'allo
!!

Hi Kerry,
I think the song is called 'Boom! Why did my heart go boom?" and was
written by E Ray Goetz and Charles Trenet in 1938. The version that
gets played a lot is the Trenet version, I believe.
Apart from the advert, it was also used (briefly) in Dad's Army and was
murdered by Madame Edith in 'Allo 'Allo...:-)
I fill my head with too much rubbish....:-)
Joe

Subject: FN-FORUM Shot in the dark question .......
This is a bit of a shot-in-the-dark question .... I'm trying to remember
the name of a track used in a TV commercial sometime over the last
couple of years .... I think it's something like "Zoom, why did my heart
go zoom" or possibly "Boom, why .... Etc!!)
I've had a search on one of the relevant web sites, but can't seem to
see the song .... Does anyone recall this and, if so, do they know the
correct title/artist(s)?!
Thanks in advance :-))
Kerry
